Subject: Don't look in the trunk!
An innocent man (Edward Bromberg in one of his few starring roles) finds a dead body in his roadster's trunk. Then with the help of his chauffeur/sidekick (Frank Jenks), spends the rest of this crime comedy unsuccessfully trying to hide the corpse from his family, friends and the cops. The supporting cast is good, with one minor exception. Coming from PRC (one of the better poverty row studios) the production values are above average for a low-budget B-feature, and it even has an original background score that works. The print is in good condition. An entertaining, light-weight comedy with a true-to-life conclusion that will make a lot of fathers smile. FOOTNOTE: Among the many quality PRC productions found here at the Archive are "The Devil Bat" with Bela Lugosi, and "The Flying Serpent" with George Zucco.

Subject: nice time
Interesting actors, cute little dog, good ending. Does anybody know anything about the actress who played the daughter? She has a very distinctive face but she apparently only acted in this movie.

Subject: It has promise...
I was getting quite into it, until the image broke down about 25 minutes into the movie. I guess my original 256KB MP4 download was corrupted...

I enjoyed it sufficiently that I'm now downloading the 3.6GB MPEG2 version to burn to DVD... :-)
